Our meeting with Ms. Novotná took place indirectly at a design seminar in Volyně, where I was giving a presentation on curves in the design of furniture.
The cooperation between design-factory and Novodesign proved to be very fruitful. We breathed a lot of contemporary life into the post-war flat in the very heart of Brno. So, how did it all go ? We invite you to see for yourself…
We were hired to remodel the whole flat: the kitchen,the living room with its wonderfully interesting but intricate fixture of a hidden bed, a bedroom for children where the wallpaper is decorated with a model of a cableway to add some humour and play into the room composition. The kitchen tiling enlivens the whole wall with an irregular patchwork style.
I am certain this flat will be a good home for many decades with its Genius Loci
