We had no plans, no floor plans of the building whatsoever, the only thing we could rely on was a handful of photographs from the internet. So we put our heads together and figured out if we would be able to make a model of the building with a surface finish resembling that of cast metal – to celebrate the production of the building.
We are proud to say that the whole project was implemented in the workshops of design-factory – the design, CNC milling, the surface finish as well as the production of an acrylic showcase, with which we have had many years of experience.
We have been making acrylic showcases for over 20 years and these can be seen not only in Slovak, but also in French, American and Japanese galleries.
During the course of this project, the dimensions of the model had to be adjusted several times to finally reach a size that could pass through the office door of the room where it was supposed to be placed as a surprise. On the day of the celebration the fire brigade had to be called on to insert the model into the owner´s office by means of a ramp. Fortunately, this adventure went smoothly and the gift was successfully delivered to its place.
Understandably, there is no documentation from this event available, as it is subject to confidentiality. The owner is an important figure of European significance.
